I like girls that wear Abercrombie and Fitch

Yesterday was my third day in a row off, and to be honest Hound was driving me crazy so I left to go shopping. One of the perks of just working 3 days a week is that I get quite a few weekdays off, which makes it better for shopping, traffic isn't as bad and stores aren't as crowded.

First stop was Anthro, I love shopping in that store. I spent a good hour an a half wandering around and picking up pretty things. I ended up getting a belt and a cute top for myself and a Christmas present for my sister. I follow the rules One for you, two for me when I'm shopping for Christmas presents. Next up I went to J.Crack, I mean J.Crew to try on the lovely cardigan that I posted about a while back. They didn't have it in store, but I managed to find a present for my brother, and I picked up a Sherpa hoodie for myself, and a cute headband (one for you, two for me).

This is my second Sherpa hoodie, they are unbelievably soft and incredibly warm, perfect for lounging around the house or going to the dog-park. This years version is longer, which I'm not as big of a fan of. Is it just me, or is every cardigan and sweater in j.crew extra-long. I already have short legs, I don't need an extra long cardigan to make me look even stumpier.

Lastly, I stopped in Abercrombie & Fitch. I don't think I've been in that store since I was a tween, when I used to try to convince my Mom to buy all my going back to school clothes there. She used to just wait outside while my sister and I picked things out because she couldn't stand the smell or the sound haha. I went there in search of a plaid flannel shirt and found one! Actually, I bought two because they were on sale and super soft. I just wish my whole room didn't smell like the store. If I were to guess, I would say that the people there dumped a whole bottle of cologne on each item of clothing.

Remember this song, loved it!

Well I'm off the the dog-park, in my new sherpa fleece I might add. Have a great weekend!

Tarjay Love

How cute is this little tufted ottoman from Tarjay? I saw it our local store today and it stopped me dead in my tracks.

It looked and felt very high quality, I think it's made of linen. I would recommend it for anyone looking for something to put at the end of their bed. Did I mention that it opens for storage?

Southern Wedding Magazine

I first got hooked on the blog scene after reading wedding related blogs. One of my all time favorite's also happens to be a magazine.

Southern Wedding Magazine is full of beautiful pictures that are truly inspiring. I mean check out the cover of their much anticipated (I've been dying to get a copy of it) fall/winter issue. I have definitely been taking notes for my own wedding. Let's just say that I have the details figured out, I just need a ring....cue the Beyonce. Just because I'm not engaged doesn't mean that I can't dream.

Well anyway, I just found out that their second issue is available for pre-order! Guess who just pre-ordered their very own copy?

Bonus worthy Body

So I just found out that my employer is going to give me a $250 bonus for having a BMI under 26....woot woot. I guess last year the bonus was $500, but times are tough and an extra 250 bucks in my pocket is much appreciated.

I was a Health Science major in college and I can tell you that BMI is not the best indicator of healthy weight. One of the classes I took involved a lab every week where we measured each others body fat different ways. TOTALLY HUMILIATING!

Think skin-fold calipers pinching love handles and back-fat, wrapping measuring tape around every part of your body, dunking yourself under water into a tank while wearing a bathing suit in front of your peers, and even sitting in something called a "bod-pod"..see pic below

Great skin... I couldn't resist.

I had another moment of weakness and bought The Clarisonic Skincare Brush........in pink

How could I resist? Sephora was having their Friends and Family event, which means that I got 20% ($39) off. I've heard really good things about it and have been eyeing it for a long time. I can't wait for it to come!

The discount code is FF2009, and ends November 2nd (my Father's Birthday!).
